MSIII Neuroscience Clerkship

Welcome to the Neuroscience Clerkship! This five week rotation during Upstate Medical University's third year will introduce students to a variety of clinical experiences, most of which will involve direct contact with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and in the context of neurologic and neurosurgical care.

Students work alongside residents and attendings to learn about the complex and fascinating disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems. The goal of the clerkship is that students will develop the core knowledge and skills required to complete a history and physical, neurological examination, differential diagnosis, and recognize the basic diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to the neurological/neurosurgical diseases of the nervous systems.
