Joint Seminars for Adult and Child Tracks

In addition to the core clinical activities, interns from both tracks participate together in seminars and conferences throughout the year. 这些包括:

This seminar has two components: theory/case formulation, and clinical case consultation.

The theory and case formulation element is a reading-intensive seminar with Dr. 米勒 is devoted to fostering the intern's sophistication and facility with theoretical grounding of the formulation of your clinical cases. 研讨会内容包括:认识论, 现象学, 精神分析, and existential philosophy and psychology. Readings change each year, but commonly include selections by Kierkegaard, S. Freud, Rollo May, Jean Paul Sartre, Jacques Lacan, and Michel Foucault.

The clinical case consultation aims to apply ideas from the literature we discuss in the Theory section. Interns rotate on a predetermined schedule in the presentation of cases, which includes sharing video and preaparing relevant transcriptions. Interns help each other locate salient and develop concepts from the literature in their patients' presentations and in their own interventions.

This seminar subjects the relationship between ethics and psychology to a rigorous historical and philosophical examination. Interns are highly encouraged to join CP3.
