Curriculum

Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS)

This upper-division transfer program requires an associate's or bachelor's degree in medical imaging or medical radiography (X-ray). This is a program for radiography students who wish to pursue specialty education in CT or MRI.

Students rotate through clinical education settings throughout New York State.

The CT and MRI programs take three consecutive semesters to complete. Graduates are eligible to take national exams in their field.

All programs start in the fall.


BPS-MRI Online for Fall 2023 Entry Only

Fall 2023: Two days of clinical rotations per week will be individually scheduled for each student. Classes are all online.

Spring 2024: Three days of clinical rotations per week will be individually scheduled for each student. Classes are all online.

Summer 2024: Five days of clinical rotations per week will be individually scheduled for each student during the 10-week semester. Students will also complete one online course.


BPS-MRI On-Campus for Fall 2023 Entry Only

Fall 2023: Two days of clinical rotations per week will be individually scheduled for each student.  MRI class in Syracuse on Tuesday, additional classes online.

Spring 2024: Three days of clinical rotations per week will be individually scheduled for each student.  MRI class in Syracuse on Tuesday, additional classes online.

Summer 2024: Five days of clinical rotations per week will be individually scheduled for each student during the 10-week semester. Students will also complete one online course.

There are approximately 9 BPS-MRI spaces for fall 2023 entry. Clinical regions include Central New York, Utica/Mohawk Valley region, Southern Tier, and Rochester/Western NY.
