Students enter with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Upstate offers master’s and/or doctoral degrees in Cardiovascular Perfusion, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant and Medical Technology.

Behavior Analysis Studies

Behavior Analysts are licensed health-care professionals who provide therapeutic services for individuals with autism and related disorders. Service delivery might include conducting assessments of problem behavior or language deficits, developing treatments to reduce problem behavior and increase pro-social behavior, consultation, and caregiver training. Learn more <<

Clinical Perfusion

Perfusionists use special equipment during cardiac surgery to keep a patient alive while the patient’s heart is stopped for repair. Our students handle 30 to 40 simulated cases before performing more than 150 clinical cases at our affiliated hospitals. Learn more <<

Med Scholars Med School Prep: MS

SUNY Upstate Medical University's Medical Scholars Medical School Preparation Program offers the opportunity to earn a Master's Degree in Medical Technology in preparation for application to medical school. Physical Therapy

Our students have short-term, integrated clinical experiences plus 36 weeks of full-time clinicals in four different practice settings. We have strong performance on licensing exams and excellent job placement. The PA profession is one of the fastest growing in the country. PAs have backgrounds in nursing, emergency medicine, the military, sports medicine, exercise physiology and other fields.
