There are 1,200 students enrolled in Upstate’s four colleges studying to become doctors, biomedical scientists, advanced-degree nurses and allied health care professionals.

• Campus Activities Building (CAB), 155 Elizabeth Blackwell Street, houses our athletic complex, snack bar, bookstore and many student services and administrative offices including bursar, financial aid and registrar.
• Weiskotten Hall, 766 Irving Avenue, has undergone major expansion and modernization since it opened as a basic sciences building in the late 1930s. It features state-of-the-art laboratories, classrooms, meeting rooms, auditoriums, student lounges and a cafeteria. It houses the offices of the university president, deans of the colleges of Medicine and Graduate Studies and Student Admissions for all colleges. The adjacent Setnor Academic Building – a five-story, 46,000 square foot building dedicated to medical education and clinical skills training– will open in 2007.
• College of Health Professions, 788 Irving Avenue, is home of the College of Health Professions and includes the offices of the dean and faculty, classrooms, a computer lab and conference rooms.
• College of Nursing, 545 Cedar Street, third floor, houses offices of the dean and faculty, classrooms and computer and clinical labs.
• Health Sciences Library, 766 Irving Avenue, is open to the public. Hours are Monday through Thursday 8 am to 1 am, Friday 8 am to 9 m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 pm and Sunday 11 am to 1 am. The library contains books, journals and electronic resources, as well as special collections of media, reference materials, history of medicine, consumer health and the Upstate archives. Services available include reference and research assistance and the Health Information Center. Many of the library’s resources are available online.
• Institute for Human Performance, 505 Irving Avenue, serves as an incubator for millions of dollars of biomedical research. SUNY Upstate scientists have laboratories in the IHP dedicated to orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, neuroscience and psychiatry. Several outpatient services are in the IHP.
• Jacobsen Hall, Elizabeth Blackwell Street, houses administrative offices including Human Resources/Employee Recruitment and Student Health Services.
